Calabaza Torpedo forrado in leather - Traditional mate gourd from Uruguay

Traditional Uruguayan mate gourd (calabaza) made from a natural gourd, hand-covered in real leather with a decorative metal rim on top. The torpedo shape is a classic and elegant variety of the traditional mate gourd.

As a natural product, color changes may occur on the inside as it takes on color from the mate tea. The gourd should be "cured" before first use for increased durability, and retains its natural variation in size from piece to piece.

Measurements: width approx. 9 cm, height approx. 10-12 cm, opening diameter approx. 6 cm, volume approx. 180-200 ml.

Do not fill all the way to the rim with water, since the metal rim is only attached on top and is not waterproof. Available in brown or black leather.
